In 2003, Gary Dickson retired from the USPS in San Jose, California, as Manager of Employee Development after 34 years of service. He and his wife Verna moved to Redding, CA, and then accepted a position as Administrative Pastor at CrossPointe Community Church, Redding. He retired once again after 10 years and planned on staying in Northern California, but God had other ideas. At the request of their daughter-in-law, Gary and Verna moved to North Augusta to be near his son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. Being open to God’s leading and direction, Gary accepted the call to Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church as Interim Pastor in November of 2016 and is excited to share from the pulpit with the Faith Family here until the time God brings a new Senior Pastor.
